Hico, Tx here we come! another Homestead event!

Nancy and I head out to Hico in the morning to
Homestead’s great flea market and show on the square~!
so much fun last spring, we can’t wait to see what all
we find! Will get to see our friends Linda and Ludmil
from Willow Nest Farm and lot’s of others! Peacock Alley
had a fabulous airstream all done up in it’s finest
so hope they are there again as well… you should stop
by, it is Friday and Saturday!~

FringeThe Event this weekend!~

Busy, Busy, Busy McKinney is this weekend! I stopped by Fringe
the other day for their monthly sale and snapped a few photos!
Wonder if any of this is still available? sounds like the
Lumberyard sale is going great as well across the street, reading
Vince’s posting on facebook for his Good Looks Store up in
Princeton! good luck everyone in McKinney!

and then there is the once a month flea market over on 380 as well!

Patina Green Trunk unveiling, Bloom a new store in town and Nancy’s Birthday!

Nancy’s Birthday and a stop at Patina Green
to see what all they found in Europe this past summer,
what fun to see all the neat finds! Then lunch at Robert’s
counter with soup, sandwich and split a salad! We love to
eat at Patina Green and with the beautiful weather got to
sit outside. Nancy and I headed down the street afterwards and
stopped in the newest store in town called Bloom! What a great
little clothing store with owners Bryan and Kendi who moved up
from Kerrville, just to open a store in McKinney! Guess they love
McKinney about as much as I do ~ Cutest dresses and tops for the
most reasonable price, gives the appearance of being a whole lot
more expensive, yet everything was really reasonable. Why Miss Nancy
even bought a new jacket! “Nancy’s Day Out” was a success and will
continue in a few weeks when we head to Hico for Homestead’s fun show…
visiting with Willow Nest Farm, maybe Peacock Alley will be there
again with their fabulous Airstream Trailer! Can’t wait, but tomorrow, off
to FRINGE in McKinney for their monthly sale! So much shopping-
What’s a girl to do???

Those silly little animals overheard my story…

They overheard me chatting on the phone about my trip
to Round Top and The Prairie luncheon with Rachel Ashwell! I
casually mentioned that I had been to a fabulous and fun party
and well, they decided to have a party of their own! They wanted
to check out all of the fun gifts I received in my parting bags so they
took it upon themselves to dress up in their finest and decorate
themselves in cards and gifts! Lot’s of fanfare was in order and
everyone was there, Bunny, Horse, Sternsey Rabbit, Rag Doll and
more! Miss Molly must have been sleeping as she never appeared!
Party Bear said he would model the T shirt from HGTV since it matched
his hat and fancy collar! Leave it to him to steal the show! Oh well,
hope they got everyone in the photo as we don’t want any hurt feelings!
We got soap by Favorito,a bright pink cork screw from Junk Gypsies,
Hermann’s in Brenham donated a tissue pack, HGTV gave us a T with the
Junk Gypsies logo, some bubble gum from the Busy B gifts
in La Grange, and then we have a wooden coin for a
free drink from Buffalo Creek in Bellville! So many gifty items!
Royers has a card in there about his Operation Desert Pie which
sends a pie overseas to a soldier… really a nice idea,
and Texas Living magazine gave us a couple issues so we can catch up
on all the happenings in this part of Texas! What fun to be a
photographer for them, that I would love! Rachel gave us a
“hot off the presses” Idea Map that will be fun to hang for inspiration!
There’s even a package of coffee from Independence Coffee in Brenham
Mimi Bella, Beau’s Best soap in Round Top donated a teeny, tiny bar
of Lavender soap that smells so good you could just eat it! And finally
we each got a box of zip lock bags called Tili Bags, each decorated in
a different pattern so easy to distinguish one from another, great
for travel, etc!
Whew! I don’t know if the animals will ever recover from such a fun
party! They may want to take a road trip down to the Prairie just to see
for themselves what all the fuss was about!
