Dallas and Ft. Worth’s Fabulous Downtowns!

I ran over to Ft. Worth today after church ,
to see the Frank
Gohlke photography exhibit
which ended today and got permission
to
shoot a few photos, but not of the exhibit!
This was
at the Amon Carter Museum ,
which is devoted mostly
to Western art but
also has a large photo collection
as well as
some Sarget, O’ Keefes, Homer, to
name a few
that I saw today!I have always
loved the architecture
of the building so
got to take a few shots just of the halls. . .

A crazy arrangement on the side of a building in Ft. Worth!
The Newish MODERN in Ft. Worth! Haven’t been inside,
need to go on my next trip to Ft. Worth!

This was a pretty shot of just buildings and trees
in Dallas
and then I adjusted the color to
come up with this
warm version of the street.

I love the old buildings in Downtown Dallas, and went through
yesterday on the way home from an appointment. I also
went by the Hickory Street Annex, and old compound, not
sure what it was for, but I think it had to do with oil, and now
it is an artist type complex, with graphic, advertising,
and a photography studio, etc. I got to tour some of
the offices there several years ago on a Preservation Dallas
loft and downtown tour, that was a great insight into
all the revitilization going on in downtown.
