A Fun Saturday with the Girls!

Elfirede called to have lunch at Hillside(Houston’s) and of course
being one of my favorite friends and restaurant, I said of course!
After lunch I picked Deborah, one of my photographer friends, up
and we all went downtown to see Gail Nogle’s exhibit at the
“Old Red” courthouse which has been restored in the last few
years. Gail did a long photo shoot of the building before it was
renovated and then also shot portraits in the building, lugging all
kinds of wonderful props down to make her sets. It was so much
fun to celebrate all of her hard work which took several years to
complete !

After the show we were driving through town and the girls insisted
I turn around and head back to check out Neimans’ windows. And of
course we ended up inside and did a little shopping as well!

It’s a toss between the View or Location…

My client has to move quickly since we sold his condo on Friday!
Not sure if it was really going to close, he waited til it was a done
deal to make arrangements. So off we went on Saturday checking out
places for him to live. The last place on our list was this downtown
loft condo with a spectacular view! Guess the view is winning out
over ground floor, 1960’s style condos off Lovers! Maybe once in a lifetime
it is fun to try something new…

My Favorite Place on Earth… has lot’s going on today!

Sandra called after seeing a write up in the newspaper about this
new, once a month sale in McKinney! So of course I was in… Friday
at 9 am it started and if you don’t get there early, well, let’s just
say I missed getting a really neat chair by a few minutes… oh well
maybe next month… and then on to the square to our favorites
as you can see we had plenty of fun and shopping galore, in my
favorite little town. also popped in at Chase Hall for a chat with
Terri, but I won’t post his silly photo I snapped…)

McKinney shopping and eating

Last week I popped in the Chase Hall and picked up a few
Christmas gifts! early , i know, and then to Gather and UniqueUnique
next door. I bought my arched window for my kitchen remodel
there and always love to stop in to see what re-purposed
items they have in stock. Gather also has a communal tea once
a month which was just getting ready to start so i snapped a few
photos there as well. Wish i had time to join them but maybe next
month, I think it must be the first Wed of the month. Friday,
my friend Sandra and i will hit the FRINGE sale which is once a month
and will be my first visit! I think it is on the “other” side of Hwy 5
in the old lumber yard grounds! Can’t wait, and then to Patina Green
for a split lunch and tea!

The Dance Hall at Gruene, Texas

and got to go inside this historic dance hall, the oldest in
Texas! I love how neat and tiddy all the shops and landscaping
are in Gruene it is a pretty immaculate little town!
